A Thousand Word Thursday

For this weeks A Thousand Word Thursday, I went old school for my not so little fam…in the spirit of the random slideshow of your family’s life together.

This picture was taken during the summer of 2002. This is my husband John and our oldest, Seth Mason. They are just walking onto Old Orchard Beach in Maine. This was our annual day trip to the ocean every year when we were New Englanders. To me, this is the postcard of that time in our lives. My two men. My heart laid out in the sandy footprints on a perfect summer day.

It was a wonderful day of first temporary tattoos, skeeball and rasberry lime rickeys. And of course running into the freezing cold waves of the Atlantic despite the hot August day. And these were the steps that started it all…

  3. Great photo! I miss the beach. I used to live in FL. and it really makes you appreciate it that much more when you move away! That photo really makes me want to go to the beach (any). My kids have never been.
