Virtual Girls Night Out

Photobucket

Trying out some blog hopping for the evening!

The question for tonight’s virtual girl’s night out was did you bring anything to a pot luck that nobody ate. As the daughter of a pastor, there were many a pot luck suppers I attended with the good, the bad and the ugly. Although having a mom who is allergic to garlic and hates most spices and onions, it was often an experimentation into different culinary area’s. Some with horrible results, some left me with lifelong loves for certain pot luck staples.

Personally, we have a monthly theme night party amongst a group of my friends. The rules are you dress according to the theme and bring a drink and food item to share. I am usually pretty spot on in the food department. But once I decided to use a custom chili mix we received as a gift. And it turned into the horrible, runny, soupy mess that no one ate and we just dumped…
