Nate’s Last Tee Ball Game

Tonight was the last tee ball game for Nate and his team, the Colorado Rockies.  I enjoyed every minute of their little league season.  Nothing in life is quite like tee ball.  Everyone plays, even if it means an entire infield packed full of players.  No one gets out. No one wins.  No one loses.

It is relaxed.  It is fun.  And Nate reveled in it.

Tonight was the icing on the cake.  The very last game of the season.  At 6 in the evening after pre-K and Kindergarten.  It was the perfect recipe for a Nate spectacular.

Apparently he doesn’t care to see if the ball is coming his way while being the second baseman.

And then he decides to have a conversation with the baserunner rather than watching the hitter…

Then he batted.

And celebrated on first base…

Then stopped in the infield to say hi to a friend on his way to second.

Next time he was up, he was sure to high five the same friend who was now the first baseman.

And then did a little dance on second base…

Sometimes he tried to pay attention…
But this, this is how I will remember Nate’s first year of tee ball.  Singing and dancing his heart out while the rest of the world played ball.  I love this boy!
