Flip Flop Starburst Wreath Tutorial

I kind of have a wreath obsession.  I like to make new ones for every season and occasion. So summer would not be complete without a wreath tutorial!

This one is super simple and inexpensive!  Everything I purchased cost a dollar a piece!  For this project I bought four pairs of flip flops in varying colors from the dollar store.  I picked up two flower clips at $1 each from the craft store.  And finally I purchased a pair of children’s sunglasses from the Target dollar bins.  I also got a piece of scrap wood from Daddy D’s shop to use as a base.

To start, I made the bottom layer of flip flops in a cross pattern.  I used all of the left feet flip flops and hot glued them to the base.

Then I added the right flip flops as the second layer.  Just a bit of hot glue and the starburst was finished!

Just add the decorative bits to the center and glue as well!

After I was finished with the wreath I had the urge to add a little extra special touch.  As most crafters do, I have a craft stash.  I broke into my box of supplies that I received from Paid during the Mod Podge challenge.

I used the rub-on transfers, the Podgeable shapes and Mod Podge in glossy.  Taking a piece of scrapbook paper I had on hand I cut it to the size of the Podgeable tag.  Then I Mod Podged the entire tag.  When it was dry and finished, I just added the Summer Fun rub on transfer to the front!

Super simple and less then a five minute project.

I have seen a few of these, but I like yours the best! I work w/3 ladies M-F in a day support setting and am always looking for inexpensive, yet tastefully done projects that we can make. The cost is right, the ladies will be able to do most of the project with little or no help and the finished product is Awesome! Thank you!
