BlogHer Friends & The Empire State Building

Last week I went to BlogHer ’12 in New York City.  Before I start the mountain of what is BlogHer posts about parties, events, brands and booths I wanted to start with how my BlogHer experience started this year.

Ever since my very first BlogHer I attended in 2010, my roommate has been Sarah of Tech4Moms.  We happened upon each other by chance when we were both looking for someone to room with at our first major blog conference.  The rest is history.  We get along well,  and I can think of no one I would like to share the craziness that is BlogHer with.

But BlogHer is just that, craziness.  Tons of people to see, places to go and this ever present women squealing over the drone of thousands of high pitched feminine voices that is the background noise of every place that you venture.  And in the three years we have been roommates, we have only managed to grab a hot dog at a street cart here or a late night Times Square photo there.

This year we went a day early in order to spend a friend day.  We went and did the sightseeing thing, at the Empire State Building.

I was excited to see the US Mail Chute, and we took a pic for Daddy D the mailman.

It was a hazy, HOT & humid day

Which didn’t lend itself to great sightseeing…

Or photos for that matter.

On the way back we decided to take the subway.

It was Sarah’s first NYC subway experience.

BlogHer was spectacular, but so was a day with my roomie!

  1. Love your NYC photos. I’m still spinning from BlogHer madness!

  2. What does it say that I grew up here and have never been to the top of the Empire State Building? You two are too cute!
