Fall is definitely upon us here in the Northeast.  As I've started to settle in to the school routine, I've also begun to ready my home for the new season.  Part of that includes my gardens.

I have spent a great deal of time this summer redoing the garden beds in front of my house.  I've also added a bed to the side of the house.  The biggest project is that I have been working on a brand new 40 foot border bed alongside our driveway.  As the seasons shift, I am beginning to also shift in my thinking from perennials that I have been collecting all summer to spring bulbs.  I am officially ready for Fall gardening!

I headed over to the Find beauty in the Fall where I found the info I needed about planting spring bulbs specific to the area where I live.  It even explained the timetable of when I should be planting spring bulbs this fall specific to my zone.  Who knew that I should be getting the bulbs into the ground in the next two or three weeks?  I thought I had a little more time than that!

In a bit of a panic I headed over to Pinterest and did some fall bulb searching.  I like to vary textures in my garden, so I found this pin of Alliums particularly interesting.  I'll be heading out in the morning to grab some of these, especially since I need to get to work quickly!

But while I'm out buying bulbs I'll also be looking at Miracle-Gro Garden Soil.  It is specially formulated to help improve existing soil and build strong roots.  It continuously feeds for up to three months, perfect for my new bulbs who will be trying to create a root structure this fall before they will flower next spring!
