ArtSee Review

ArtSee Review

Today I am happy to bring you a review written by a new contributor to Momma D and Da Boyz, my friend Allison.  She is a mom of four too, with three sons and a daughter!

Luke, my almost five year old son, and I were super excited to receive the ArtSee Studio to test out on our iPad. As with most young families, we don’t lack for electronic devices in our house. Luke has 2 older brothers and he plays games with them often so “kiddie” games just don’t cut it for him. Four going on fourteen, I think!

Let me first say that you don’t need the ArtSee Studio for your iPad to download the free app and play, but you can’t use the tool icons and you’ll definitely love having the tools. The ArtSee Studio makes holding the iPad easier for little hands and comes with great gadgets to create with. I especially love the pen because it makes it easier to draw and write.

There are so many apps available for the iPad that it’s hard to know which ones to choose for your children. What I love about this particular one is that it holds Luke’s attention, it’s super fun for him and it’s also educational! The app allows you to choose from junior or advanced settings and takes you through a tutorial to get started. I love the names of the gadgets for the ArtSee studio: Doodlee, the stylus, Rolee, the roller tool, Stampee, the stamp tool, Funnee, the theme key, Pointee, the Animation Tool and Melodee, the sound tool.

2The ArtSee Studio allows your child to create art that isn’t just your average coloring page at their favorite kids’ website. They can color, stamp and animate. They can create their own pictures or color one of the 18 preloaded coloring pages or choose from 60 different activities like connect the dots and symmetry.

One of our favorite things to do with it was create a page of stamps with cars, motorcycles, boats and tractors etc. and then use the arrow tool which makes each of them travel on the path that you draw. Not only does it follow the path that you draw with the tool, it seemed to respond to the speed that you drew the path also! Then we had fun using the Melodee to see what sounds and actions would come out of each of our stamps. We thought the octopus was funny as you click on it and it inks.

Here are the great features:

Over 75 animated stamp variations
15 roller patterns
3 built-in theme packs
60 challenging activities in 5 unique games
Over 15 coloring pages
Multi-functional stylus
5 interactive tools
Easy-Grip Handle
Protective Case
Made for iPad® (1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Generation

Direct from the fourteen four year old: Everyone should buy it because it’s fun! I love everything about it.

So, there you have it. We love the ArtSee Studio and know you won’t be disappointed!

The ArtSee was received without charge for the purposes of this review.  No compensation was received for this post.
