Seth, Gabe and I headed to Vernon, NJ to try out Zoom Ziplines at Mountain Creek.  The day we went zipping was a very foggy and drizzly day.  But what’s great about Zoom Ziplines is that they operate in most weather conditions, rain or shine and even in the winter!  Their website recommends that you dress appropriately for the days’ weather.  Also, be sure to wear close toed shoes.  We checked the weather before leaving the house, and despite being summer we added layers and were ready to go!

Zoom Ziplines at Mountain Creek has 4 ziplines ranging from 200 to 1,500 feet.  You start at the bottom of the mountain on what I would call a training line.  I have zipped before, but it was Seth and Gabe’s first time.  I think the short distance, closeness to the ground and instructions by both of the guides made for a great beginning experience.  Check it out here:

We then took a gondola to the top of the mountain.  The boyz went off together on the second, and longest, zip line.  I went after them and loved watching them disappear into the mist.  Gabriel described it as floating in the clouds.  I enjoyed the cloud experience, especially for the first time.  Mostly because they couldn’t see how high up they were!

One of the great things about the Zoom Ziplines team is that they have a photographer on the course.  You can purchase a disc of photographs of your experience after the experience, and it is not astronomical in price.  I love this one the photographer took of us in between lines.

We loved the experience together!  A tour takes between 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

At the end of the four zip lines you then go across a 200ft suspension bridge over water.  It is quite an experience all it’s own!

mc3After they drove us back to the gondolas, we headed down the mountain.

Overall we had an amazing experience.  The entire team was extremely professional.  The experience was smooth and a perfect first ziplining experience for my guys.  They can’t wait to go back, but are hoping for a clear day so they can see more of the scenery around them.

If you are thinking about going, check out and book a tour!  Combine it with a ticket to the Mountain Creek waterpark for an even greater deal.  The experience is great for those over 48 inches and 60 lbs.  We highly recommend it!

How fun!! We have a little zipline course near us and my oldest daughter is almost 6 (the age when she can finally go on it), but I’m not sure she’s ready, lol. She has a little bit of a fear of heights, I’d love to take her on it some day though!
