We were taking a trip to Six Flags Great Escape in upstate New York and knew that by the time we made the trip there we would have some very hungry boyz on our hands. So we headed to Sam’s Club to pick something up.
Nate helped me pick out the Tyson Chicken Fries. We loved that they are fully cooked already and that they were affordable. Less than $10 for that entire huge bag! Be sure to check out our full shopping experience in this Google+ album.
It took us a little less than three hours to get to Six Flags Great Escape, so it was lunch time. Seth got to bring his buddy Morgan with us. That gave us five boyz and a Daddy D too, which means quite a crowd to feed!
Using the thawed but fully cooked Tyson Chicken Fries, I cut them up and added them into Caesar Salad kits. I served in those handy dandy Chinese food containers.
I have to admit, I was a little nervous about how the Chicken Fry Salad would be received by my crew. But there was no reason for worry! The guys all loved our quick chicken dinner.
I loved that we headed into the park with full bellies, which cut down on the crankies, tantrums and whining for sure! This was the first time any of us went to Six Flags Great Escape so we were very excited to explore.
That being said, we also had an injured Daddy D sporting his bright orange caution cone cast. We were really impressed with their accommodations for people in less than tip top shape!
We were pretty systematic in our approach, crossing off attractions while completing an area before moving on. That way everyone gets a chance to do everything, and we don’t crisscross the park fifteen times. Here is Eli manning the map.
The day included lots of rides, both those for kids and for teens and grown ups. And tons of smiles, laughs and screams (of course)!
One of our highlights was when Daddy D won all of the boyz minions from the claw machine and Morgan won a Pikachu.
We ended the day with a ride on the train as a group.
Our trip to Six Flags Great Escape was complete, and we loved the great mountain views!
