Shutterfly Photo Story for iPad Review & Giveaway

I received the item featured and one for giveaway for the purposes of this review.  As always, all opinions and experiences expressed are my own.

SFiPad1

I downloaded the free Shutterfly Photo Story app for my iPad Mini.  Then I set to work making my photobook.   I loved the easy tutorial when you first launch the app.  I really like the clean, simple interface that guides you through choosing the type of book and look you want to make.  I chose a fun layout with lots of geometric prints.

I made a book centered around some of the blogging events I’ve gone to, including pictures with some celebrities I’ve met and fun places I visited.  It was so easy to do, and my favorite part?  That I could do it while lying in bed!  No sitting at the computer for me, my iPad made it so I could relax and get a photobook done at the same time.

I also loved that I was able to grab my pictures from several of my social media accounts by linking them to the app.  In no time I was creating with my Instagram and Facebook pictures!

I love that you can add audio clips, and even share digitally across all types of devices.  It is fun way to share with family and friends.  I do have to say that as an avid user of the Shutterfly online site, this app has lots of options, backgrounds and layouts.  But it is done in preset configurations you choose.  I did miss some of the versatility and customizing that I normally do.  You know what, though?  I was done in about half the time it normally takes me to make a book the same size, and I love it just as much.  So maybe all of that extra “choice” is actually slowing me down?  Check it out SFiPad2!

My absolute favorite thing about this app is that I can use it on the go, and even offline.  Which means commuting to the city on the bus, waiting football practice to end or even for the downtime spent in the minivan while dropping and picking up my brood.  I love the convenience!

Check out more in this quick video.

Be sure to download the Shutterfly Photo Story app in the App Store!
