Fall Spice Cake Bites

It is officially fall, and with the cooling weather I was craving something that tasted like fall to me. While in the aisles of my local supermarket I picked up a standard cake mix for Spice Cake.
At home I took out my Wilton Autumn Mini Bites Pan. I love this pan because it makes this cute little cakes, small enough to pick up with your fingers and eat in two or three bites.
Then using a pre-made commercial cream cheese icing I put it in a bag and using a Wilton #5 tip just piped on the icing. I tried to just accent the lines created by the pan. I didn’t want to make it overly messy, and these are fingertip snacks. But I love icing, and so even though the spice cake is delicious, for me it needed that sweet bit of topping.
It made for an awesome afternoon snack that took less than thirty minutes to mix, bake and decorate!
