Hot Wheels World’s Best Driver

holidaygg13The D house is a gaming house.  Me, not so much.  But the boyz and Daddy D love them to death.  Free time is game time!  So they were all stoked when we got a review copy of Hot Wheels World’s Best Driver to try out!

Daddy D’s favorite thing is the graphics.  He finds them to be very fluid, meaning it’s not jerky as you are driving different signature Hot Wheels vehicles.  One of Nathan’s favorites is a winged car that as you get faster the wings come out.

You can do stunts in the vehicles.  The tracks are well thought out, planned and executed well.  Sometimes the challenges are difficult to beat, but not impossible.

Young players, like Eli who is 5, can even get in on the fun.  Although Eli’s game play consists mainly of beginning racing and trying out vehicles abilities and stunts.  Fully grasping the challenges and intricacies of the game happens probably around Nathan’s age (7).

The one difficulty that we had with this game was figuring out how to get into multi-player mode.  On the event select screen there is a prompt that I believe says “Press Y For Hot Seat Mode” The player will then be prompted to enter the number of players (2-4).  Problem solved!

This has been a big hit in the D household and we think it would make for a fun family holiday gift to enjoy together, as it runs the gamut of age ranges and everyone can enjoy it.
