I have received the item featured and a gift card for further supplies without charge for purposes of this review. As always, all opinions and experiences expressed are my own.
What way does a crafty mom get her kids ready for the holidays? By crafting with her kids! We were excited to be asked by Crayola to create an original holiday craft and loved getting the box of the below Crayola items.
I checked out Crayola Holiday Pinterest board for inspiration and we decided to make make mini ornaments. You know, for those adorable mini trees that seem to have the worlds most expensive mini decorations for them. With one in each boyz room, we have a lot of mini trees that are short on decorations.
I went to Walmart and purchased a set of mini cookie cutters. We also used a mini roller from our kitchen and a straw to make holes in the top. The Crayola Model Magic and Washable Glitter Glue were our primary crafting items, as well as a bit of Crayola Washable Markers.
After dinner last night we sat around the table as a family and created together. Here is Eli sitting on Daddy D’s lap and putting red glitter glue on a candy cane.
Nate was the king of mixing colors together and creating some pretty groovy ornaments in fun swirled patterns.
Seth tried his hand coloring in some with markers, as well as creating a dot art with model magic. Gabe like cutting out shapes, but wasn’t big on decorating them.
Here are our ornaments laid out on a baking sheet covered in wax paper to dry overnight.

And finally, the mini-tree decorated in what I find most fun, a combination of the entire family’s creations!
