Three of the boyz are still in grade school and in need of the obligatory Valentine’s Day cards to exchange with their classmates. Over the past few years we have done Valentines with pop rock candy, Smarties, Runts and Swedish Fish. The one common thing? Candy. This year we decided to go candy free!

Gabriel is a bit obsessed with mustaches. Or as he would say, mustachios. So much so he declared a few weeks back that France is his favorite country because of the many amazing mustachios. Granted, some of that may be exaggerated by the animated examples which he associates with the country. But still, Gabe loves a good mustache.

Taking that theme, we decided to do mustache themed Valentines Day cards. I started by taking close photos of each boy on a neutral background. If you fill the frame with your subject, a standard 4 x 6 photo will work great with adhesive mustaches from places like the dollar store.

Get funny with it! This is Gabriel’s suave pose. He wanted to be sure to give a hint of his signature dimple.

Add with a glue dot, or hot glue gun, the mustache complete with backing. We love that the recipient can take the mustache off the backing and adhere it to themselves. Gabriel is more than a little excited to see the entire class sporting his beloved mustachios.

Mustache Valentines The fun part of buying packages of adhesive mustaches is that they come with lots of styles. Check out Nate the Great sporting lots of different mustaches, along with his chosen silly face!

Here are all three boyz Mustache Valentines! I printed the pictures (after the test round!) for 9 cents a piece in bulk and shipped to our home. The mustaches were from the dollar store and were 6 for $1. Bringing the grand total to 25 cents per valentine!
