I am part of the #WiltonTreatTeam, and as such I receive both product and compensation in return for these posts. As always, all experiences and opinions expressed are my own.
I have loved being a part of the #WiltonTreatTeam this year, so when they asked if we would like to participate in a cookie exchange I was quick to jump on board. I eagerly anticipated the name of the person I would get to bake for, and was not disappointed when I received Vianney. I met Vianney in April when we were at Wilton headquarters, and we were even on the same team in a cake challenge. She and I are both in the middle.
I was inspired by the 6 Cavity Gingerbread Family Pan that Wilton sent me. When I visit Vianney’s site, Sweet Life, I see so many beautiful recipes and photos where the food and flavors are stars. For me, gingerbread is a staple for the holiday season. Too often, though, gingerbread cookies are thin, crisp and decorated with lots candy. I wanted to make the gingerbread the star of these cookies and focus on a classic.
I taste tested and they were delicious! All the flavors of the classic, but using the pan makes them extra thick and soft. I also didn’t have to spend a lot of time rolling out and cutting dough. Just press in the pan and bake!
These are now off to Vianney in Texas! I can’t wait to share what I receive from whomever got me in our Wilton Treat Team cookie exchange!
